* And much more!

In 1971 Dr. Roger Dozier opened the doors of Southwest Animal Hospital with only a handful of clients. At that time, Southwest Blvd was countryside tamed by farmers and their livestock, but he knew it would soon be much more. Southwest Animal Hospital started as a mixed animal practice but soon needed to focus on just small animals due to fast residential growth and high demand for his good care. He quickly found the need to hire associates for extra help.

In 2006, he hired an associate who would later be the next owner. Dr. Stacey Beddoe started out part time but quickly found her niche at this hospital. It was a matter of months before she was full time and then, a year later, actually purchased the business. Since the purchase, Dr. Beddoe strives to carry on the tradition of high quality care while making sure clients’ concerns are heard and solved, so that Southwest Animal Hospital can be full of happy, healthy, and comfortable patients!

Dr. Beddoe relies on an exceptional team to help accomplish this mission. Many of the employees have been long standing icons of Southwest Animal Hospital because they know they are an important part in taking care of both patients and their human parents. Others have used employment at Southwest Animal Hospital has an intricate stepping stone for their future careers. We support and help many young people working through college or a medical professional education program. They often come back, thanking us for the learning opportunities and continue to bring us their pets because they have seen first hand the individual attention that each patient receives.

Dr. Beddoe also strives to continue in supporting her community by participating in local school activities, cancer fundraisers, and pet awareness activities.
